Hello! I’m Maggie! And I know you’re dying to ask so I’ll go ahead and do it for you. Do I love Macaroni & Cheese? Of course I do! Who doesn’t? But there is a lot more to me than elbow noodles and packaged powdered cheese. I am “cheesy” but that is a whole different ball game.
Once upon a time…. I graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Public Relations. I was a bartender in college (and LOVED it) and I decided I couldn’t do an “office job” so I went into wedding planning for a very prestigious country club. One day I realized that as much as I loved event planning, my brain needed more stimulation than long conversations centered around the difference between taupe and off-white table linens. And I missed writing!!
My friends suggested applying for a job at an internet marketing company and while I was terrified of the internet; I decided I loved PR and marketing too much not to give it a stab!! I learned an astronomical amount at Schipul and since then have moved on to a PR and Marketing firm called Marion Montgomery where I am learning a whole new set of skills. Did I mention my new office is located in the amazing Rice Village? I’m pretty much in love.
After two years of tooling around on the internet, it’s no longer scary to me at all! I have learned a ton and what is best about this new knowledge is passing it on to others. Have a question about this magical unicorn called Social Media? Let’s chat.
